The EGYPTIAN SATELLITE CHANNEL (ESC ) began in
1990 and is the first and the foremost Arabic
language TV channel to telecast its programs through
satellite. Egypt is the pioneer Arab nation in
film making and television programs production.
ESC has the support of Egypt's huge program making
infrastructure and also has access to the tremendous
library of old Egyptian films and TV programs
in addition to the new film and TV program production
complex built outside Cairo which is said to be
the largest east of Hollywood. ESC now covers
all Arab countries, nearly two-thirds of Africa
